I have an appointment to change them on the 5th I might call them and cancel.

Most of yall are saying the same thing my buddies at work are saying, I will try a few more hundred miles and see what happens.

I go by mileage, tire age, a visual inspection of tire condition, and the manufacturer's recommendation on tread depth. You gotta have the full picture to make the right call.

My tire was bald at about 8,000 miles on my new Heritage. I would bet you can get near 1,000 more out of that tire based on the picture I'm seeing.

Got over 12k on my Heritage rear tire and wear bars still not showing. Figure I got at least another k to go.

my heritage got 17,000 out of the rear tire and i didn't think that was much. but i guess it did very well.

That tire looks pretty good to me. Plenty of tread left. When it gets down to 2mm you should order a new one. What brand is that? Metzeler?

got a little over 17K on my '08 rear (original Dunlop) i'll be trying the E3s shortly. front looks like it'll go 19K but prolly change both at same time, ain't riskin' it.
