Just a quick thank you to Jason at HDF Sponsor Haulen *** for being willing to send magazines over to deployed service members. It's the little things, like being able to read a motorcycle magazine when you can't ride, that make life just a bit better. It means quite a bit, for someone you have never met, to offer up a favor, asking nothing in return.

I've seen more issues of Cosmo, In-Shape and Oprah than I care to admit over here, this will be a welcomed change. I now know that Kirstie Alley is fat again and 10 ways to look 10 pounds lighter right away, so reading a few good articles about bikes will make life complete.

I posted this here because it seems to get more traffic, and to justify it being 'General Harley Davidson Chat', I'll toss in a pic of my bike, currently feeling bitter and alone in storage. Longing for the days of open road and picturesque scenery we have shared along the way. Walking away from her that day, I looked over my shoulder and saw a tear (could have been water, but who am I to judge) fall from her headlight. She's a good girl, and I miss her. Not as much as I miss the wife (and the kids too), but I miss her.

I hope your tour will be over soon and you can return to your family. My dad was career Air Force; you guys make a big sacrifice.

 

The pics were taken in Northern Utah. There are some more in my album. There's as much reward as sacrifice. Life is good.
