Passenger: To wave or not to wave?
Just wondering some opinions. My girlfriend rides wiht me, she waves at other riders, but it is rare for me to see other passengers ride. Should she wave? Should she not? Does it matter???????? I say she should!

I don't think it relly matters, but my wife waves when we're 2 up. I think it's her friendly nature to wave at the other bikers when we're out and about. I do see other passengers doing the waving also. By all means, yes your girlfriend should wave if she likes. MHO

RE: Passenger: To wave or not to wave?
Three scenarios:
People who are too good to wave.
People who are in the middle of something (i.e. shifting, braking, turning, etc) and can't wave but would if they could.
People who wave.
Wife and I will wave regardless. 2/3 people we are waving to will appreciate it. Never mind what I think about the other one. Wife will wave more often than me when we are 2-up but its more a matter of convenience; she has the free hands.

Passenger wave story:
I am riding 2 up with my 6 year old daughter. Straight stretch of road and the bike gets a little wobble. It stops we continue. This goes on and off for about 20 minutes and I finally notice that it only happens as semi's approach. I think the bike is suddenly scared of big vehicles. I am looking to see what she is doing and all I can see is her helmet in the mirrors. One more time this happens and I catch her pumping her arm for all she is worth to try and get the truckers to honk at her.

[sm=icon_rock.gif]My wife waves, she waves at everybody. Going down the road and little kids in the car, she is waving. Someone out in a yard or sitting on the porch, she waves. [sm=groupwave.gif]

My wife waves too.
In that case I nod.
