Default WORST wreck i've ever seen.

I work for the County road dept, so, when ever there is a wreck on one of our roads we get called out to clean up the road. This morning at 4:45 AM i get a call to go out. We arrived on scene about 10 min later. The guy hit the end of one of our bridges, hit it square. First, it threw the 30 ft piece of guardrail about 40 feet. The pickup involed was a ford 1 ton 4x4 6pak [4 doors]. It tore the cab totally off the frame. The cab was thrown 20-25 feet from the initial impact area, the motor, tranny, transfer case were sitting in the road. The box, was still on the frame, but, the front of the frame was broken and twisted 180 degrees, the whole rear end was bent almost in half. Its the worst wreck i've EVER seen, get this, the guy got out of it, basically without a scratch, he ran from the scene and hid under the next bridge down the road, called his mom and told her what happened. I guess she then called the sherirff dept, they then found him. Oh, almost forgot, you bet he was drunk, really, really drunk. I told the deputy that the guy should go down and buy a lottery ticket

Your not kidding, that lucky s.o.b. I wonder if he'll qualify for the trade in for clunkers now? I love that he called mom and she called police. Lessen learned I hope.

It's no wonder how he survived, the alcohol relaxed him enough to absorb the trauma from the wreck without causing much damage. Then the adrenilin rush helped him make it to the next bridge, and by now that has worn off so he should be really feeling every ache & pain.
Hope the LEO's put him away for quite a spell.

Damn bridge guard rails, they always put unwanted scratches on a truck when they run into them.
