The last several yrs when gas was high HD sold a lot of bikes to us OT's that thought they wanted to ride again, couple of buddies have them sitting in the garage, with less than 5k on them..now they are just garage Queens..
I have over 20K on mine and can't get them out to ride for nothing..part of the reason there's a lot of good used one's for sell..

Look at every president since the early 1900's. Most have been a disgrace to the constitution and what America was truly founded upon. Hell, 1913 the biggest crime in our country happened, the Federal Reserve. It's been to hell in a handbasket ever since.
Once upon a time the union was a great thing, but now they are the reason a lot of this is happening. You don't need $50 an hour to put cars and bikes together.
I'm so glad we always vote to keep out the union at my place of business, we get treated so much better without them than with them. We get payed great money for what we do, get great benefits and insurance, get yearly bonuses and payouts when the company does well because of us, etc.
The same type of business I'm in that has a union is in poor poor shape.
The american dream killing the american dream.
I live pretty close to York. The governing state issue's aside. It seem's the workers just always want more no matter the buisness climate. At the sametime they want to do less and less with more time off.
The workers themselves have created there problem....
I wouldn't plan on seeing Kansas city lasting either, HD will move to end there union labor. they will move all plants and fill them with new employee's...I wouldn't be one bit suprized to see HD even shut down altogather for a short time or go the route GM went.

The PA governor's office has a package plan to build a new plant, give other tax incentives, and the PA unions have agreed to a comprise with Harley.
However, other states are vying for the plant as well.
