That is very good news and thanks for that feedback.

I would think they would be ok Pyle has been making some high end water proof systems for very expensive boats for a long time and i would hope they had the water resistant and waterproof aspect covered and sounds like they do thanks for keeping us informed.

I have seen them. Or something equivelent to them. A friend of a friend had them on her sportster. She said they worked great but not the best at higher speeds. I'll have to try and ask her what they are if I run into her again.

Matrix - These speakers look very good. Are you happy with the sound?

Maybe a dumb question but how do you control the volume?

According to the site he originally posted, if you search the product name you get the specs, says there's a volume control **** you mount somewhere, maybe by the controls...

http://www.pyleaudio.com/itemdetail.asp?model=PLMCA60

Sound system includes a pair of custom-made, bullet-style speakers, 300W X 2 micro amplifier with harness and Universal mount, handlebar MP3 mount, speaker mounts and all necessary connectors and wires.
Includes: Pair of chromed aluminum bullet style 2.25" speakers
Pair of clamps
Universal handlebar mount rotary volume control
300W X 2 Micro Amplifier with wire harness
Universal handlebar MP3 mount
12 Volt T-TAP
USB charger & Satellite 5V plug
Speaker Dimensions : 2.5''(W) x 2.5''(H) x 3''(L)
Amplifier Dimensions : 3.25''(W) x 1.5''(H) x 2''(L)
Sold as: Unit

I have the J&M's but they also have a volume control, anyway, I set my mp3 player, whichever one I'm using, at just below the highest level (to avoid distortion) and let the speaker volume then become the sole volume while riding...

The volume control mounts by your hand controls so you can adjust the volume with your thumb without taking your hand off of the bars.
(P.S. I'm the Pyle dealer who sold Matrix the system and he was kind enouth to give me the link so I could hear the vids he made. )

It is 300 watts peak, I am sure. more like 50 rms max. The fuse isnt big enough to support a true 300 watts, nor is the power wire size. Like comparing Kraco watts from the late 70's and Alpine watts. There is a difference. If it truly was 300 watts per channel, or 600 total watts it would run most bike batteries down in a hurry. A real 600 watt amp would draw 40 amps constant 600 watts output or there abouts...depending on efficiency.

100 watts of Rockford, Alpine, Orion, Kenwood whatever high end name will blow away the supposed 300 watts per channel of the Pyle.

I am running a well known 50 watt per channel RMS amp on 2 3.5" Infinity speaker on my Kawasaki and I can hear it at 85 with a fullface helmet and visor shut.
