I had a KDX200 that was converted to be street legal in the early 90's and used to do that all the time. Like has been said though, gotta be careful cause there is some crazy chit in ditches, especially if they've recently done road work.

Nah, I think that I will stay on the road where at least I can see most of the things coming at me.

The ditch was pretty deep and completely over grown with grass. Looked like a fun bike to have.
Buddy did that on his Fatboy, he was going more like 50 mph. Down in the ditch, up the bank, back down the ditch and back on the road if front of me. Guess he couldn't scrub off enough speed going into the curve. He kept it up and we kept on rolling.

Never a ditch but I did come up behind one of those crop sprayers with the really tall skinny tires going 10 MPH, lots of oncoming traffic so I just ducked down and went underneath him between the tires, looked in my mirror as I accelerated away and the driver had a pretty supprised expression on his face.
Wish I had a picture of that one.

Running a RR bed once and thru the high weeds didn't see that they had taken out and old tressel, folded up the front forks, but was unhurt, except for my pride.

I have this buddy who was on a six bike group ride. The first bike missed the curve going into it too hot and the other five followed him. They were doubled up riding, loaded bikes, cutting weeds next to a ****** wire fence. Depending on who you ask you get different speeds. All of them got back up on the road , without anyone going down. For them to make that maneuver and recover from a bad mistake is wild in my opinion. Another example of the bikes doing things we never thought possible. They were telling me about in town and it was an animated conversation. I know the curve--they know the curve. It is a banked curve with loose gravel under the grass. They went across the oncoming lane and went into the ditch on the high side. I asked my buddy how he held it together because this is a hairy curve, him and his wife are full growed. His answer in front of her and me was that she must have moved her big *** the right way for once. I was surprised and laughing at his remark but she came back with a smart remark I can't put here.
