When I had my full beard ( now i have a goat-tee ) I went in and shaved it off after about 5 yrs. Walked back out and my kids freaked ....they started crying an yelling ! They thought I was stranger danger , and the dog wanted to attack me !
LOL...when I shaved my goatee, my son asked what happened to my beard. When I told him I shaved it off, he told me, "I don't like it daddy...go put it back on."

I have a tidy goatee now but used to have a full (long) beard and long hair in a ponytail. Back a few years ago three of us with full beards were riding on a hot day and just decided to stop behind an icecream van and brought a soft serve icecream each. The icecreams were dripping all over our beards. Should have seen us on the side of the road standing next to our bikes with icecream all over our beards.
Just thought I'd share it with you, that day we got to eat our icecreams twice .

thinking about getting some ROGANE seeing if that will help
I tried that, it just made the hair around my ears and in my nose grow like no tomorrow! I guess if I let it go long enough, I could make it into a beard......[:'(]

Started to grow the beard when I got discharged in 1969...Mother-in-law asked me shave it off when my wife got married in 1970...started growing it back the day after the wedding and haven't shaved it since. I keep it trimed a little shorter during the summer (about 1/2 inch) because it blew up my nose while ridding, then let it get long during the winter months.

Have a mustache and goatee, my wife and sons have never seen me without it . Married 23 years, I started growing it the day I left the Army, so have had it about 25 years.

We should post pictures of our facial hair. I wear a bushy mustach and a short bushy fumanchu. Wife and others say I look like Colonal Custard.

when I retired from the military 9 years ago i grew everthing out that would grow.
Got tired of the long hair fast. Went to a Fu for about 8 years. Wife didn't like the Fu so i compromised and did the mustache/goatee, just sort of filled in the middle i guess.

I have had a beard since 72. Had to shave it off for bootcamp and after bootcamp i grew it back. It has grown gone down as far as my bellybutton in in late 70's. I keep it short now. My hair has been down to my shoulders or longer since '76(got out of the navy). IN fact my hair is still below my shoulders and im not cutting it agin till i hit 55.((three years))....OH I hate short hair ONLy differance now is that my beard is getting grayer and now my hair is getting the same way
