Default wheel chock

can you guys tell me if it is necessary to use a wheel chock when hauling a bike in the bed of a truck.

No, but it is like insurance. i got a condor pit-stop. works great

Nope. Stand the bike up straight, use tie downs front and rear. Put enough tension on the front especially to compress the forks and you should be fine.

do you need a condom when having sex?? No! but it sure comes in handy in some situations especialy the ones you dont want to happen

I use a 4 X 4 and a small wheel chock in the front up against the bed. It keeps the front fender from hitting the truck bed. But in all reality, I have only hauled mine in a truck twice. 1) when I bought it and 2) Taking it to the shop for some work.
