Harley site updated 2010 models.

Well it made my decision easy enough. I am buying an FXDF, but wanted to see the 2010 first. I am going to have to go with the 09 so I can have the black pearl. The new red looks nice initially but I'm afraid it is just a bit loud for my liking for the long haul. Are there any changes other than 5th gear and the colors that I'm missing? What are the chances of the 09 prices dropping at all over the next few months? We still have a TON of 08 Ann in all models on the floor here in El Paso and they just recently started offering $1000 below MSRP. Either way, the doc says my back will be healed enough to ride in about 4 months so Nov or Dec I will be riding one home with a permagrin on my face.

Well, the CARB filing that showed the Softail Custom coming with the 103" engine was wrong.
We got just one new Road Glide instead of the two that were listed.
Also, I thought the straight cut 5th gear was not an issue, we all were being paranoid, as the Motor Company kept insisting. Curious . . . .
A quick glance at alot of the msrps shows that some are unchanged while others increased by only a small amount, good idea in a recession.
I am mildly surprised that ABS actually went up by $50; I thought they would make it available as an option on more bikes and drop it down a bit, maybe to $600.
I am halfway tempted to ferret out an 09 Electra Glide Standard and see what kind of deal I can hammer out.
All in all, given the economy, I would characterize the 2010 line as sensible (CVOs excepted, of course).
