WOODS cams and NOISE
I installed some woods Tw/9b cams in my 06 n/t .I have what almost sounds like a bottom end knock bit its from the valve train! I have looked everything over several times and see nothing wrong .Ive heard that his cams are noisey and hard on the valvetrain but i didnt expect it to sound like this.Am I missing something or is this normal?

Of course they are built radical. For every gain, there is a compromise. If you wanted something more road friendly you may chose a different profile or manufacturer.

Road friendly? the power is fine but its very loud when the bike is out by the garage 100 ft away i can hear the knocking Is that normal for these cams?

I did not look up the cam you installed for specs, but if this is a large lift cam you May have the lifter roller hitting the lifter Block slightly when it's up..Just a thought

I don't know much about Wood's cams but it shows .630 lift and 252 duration. A little radical but not that bad. I use Mackie cams .596 lift and .238 duration and I have no noise.
How long have they been in? Gear drive or chain?
This would worry me because their website recommends 10.5 minimum compression ratio. I'm assuming you're running stock pistons because you didn't mention pistons.
Adjustable pushrods striking the tubes? Really not enough info. Have you called Wood's?

Wow, you did a real build. Piston/valve interference? Have you called Wood's?

talked to woods he was at a loss also . it sounds like the valve train area. but the sound is like a rod bearing in a car engine. the piston to valve clearance is very large. Should the rockers have any side to side movement?

First question I would ask is did you ensure you had enough clearance for the cams to the case ? As well as did it start making the noise the first time you fired it up or recently since build? And did you do the work your self or have it done at shop etc.
