if you had a case clearance issue before ,, I dont think you got one now... Those babys are carving what they need... I have an issue with rocker arm movement on my OLDs 455 motor with roller rockers... but I dont think harley rockers are built the same as Oldsmobile... they are pretty welll locked down... double check push rod adj.

is the noise on the left side or right side of the engine?

does the noise increase when you rev the motor up

it could be the pistons and not the valve train. are pistons hitting the intake valve since you have a higgher lift cam?

The sound is more on the right side than the left and it seems to be louder when the engine is under load. I have alot of valve clearence when i checked it it didnt even touch the slab of clay on the piston.I just went out for another ride and checked head temp when i got back and it was 285 I wrote the learned fuel offsets and added 10% more to the global fuel enrichment well see how it does later. this is the fourth ride and fuel curve rewrite it seems to be getting better on temp. the noise sound more valve train related now and not so deep

Did you check for any metal shavings in the oil? If so you they could be hitting the block. Did you check for any run out or wear in the cam bushings? That could cause the cams to rub the block also.

I have changed the oil twice and its clean. The motor had 2300 miles when I did this and was stock internally

Dang man, I am lost. I would re-adjust the valves to be on the safe side and if you're not making metal, ride it.

Sorry no help.
