Duster for rain gear
I'm selling my HD rain gear right now to fund some suspension upgrades and because I wasn't really using it. One of my buddies said he had a oilskin duster from cabela's that I could have. Has anyone used one for riding? It looks like it would work well and has snaps for around the legs to keep things from flapping around. Here's a link to what he has but I am looking for some advice before I have him ship it out here.

You might end up like Isadora Duncan.
To quote Gertrude Stein, "affectations can be dangerous."

The duster is a pretty hard look to pull off in this day and age. Usually whenever I see somebody wearing one in a crowd there is a wake of snickers trailing off behind him. (the laughter, not the nougaty chocolate candy) If you are forged in the rugged likeness of Jack Palance your mileage may vary tho.

Been there, didn't work for me. That huge raincape on the duster either pulls on your arms or slaps you silly. I ended up sitting on the lower part, because those lashes for the legs are just not made for speed. If you get it for free, try it, maybe it works better for you. It always looks a little like that Lamas Guy on that TV show.
