Per KBB: "Trade-In Value (Good Condition) $10900"

"Suggested Retail Value $14680"

Sell it outright for $12k

I have a 05 ultra that I paid off last year.I've been to probly 10 shops best apraisal is 13,500.Most have been right at 12,500. I figure that will be about half of the new one. My bike has 60,000+ on it and If i don't find a great replacement I will keep heading toward the 100,000 mile mark. I guess we'll see in a week or so.

I 'm with you there. I Don't know what it will be that convinces me to take on another payment. I may but I doubt it. I like you was thinking 103 /255 cam and sert. alot cheaper than a new ride. But I do love the look of the wider rear tire and all the long overdue up grades.

I bought my 05 Ultra last Sept. It was a high roller it actually had 805 miles on it. Now I've got 10,500 on it Not the first problem. I plan on doing your second thought,Ride it until it needs a complete rebuild, and ride some more. The best part will be NO payment Due and I like it.

This is what I'd do! Especially if it was paid for. A 103 tricked out would be nice!!

Take that additional cost of trading up, 10k or so and make the monthly payment into your "fund" for future upgrades to the 04. If you decide down the road in a few years to make the trade you got some more cash to deal with, if the 04 needs something you have a fund to pull from.

Never shoot a good horse.

I would keep making the "Payment" to my savings account and before you know it you will have a nice $$$ to do whatever you want. Keep it ride it take care of it and live on...

Good call on keeping it. It would take a pretty drastic improvement for me to trade that bike for a newer model with a payment.
