Post Oil Change Price

I am leaving for Sturgis on Saturday and I dont have the free time between now and then due to work and projects to do it myself. What is the Average cost for the Dealer to do an Oil change?

You are kidding right. By the time to set up the appointment and drop it off and pick it up, you can do five oil changes.

Loosen the drains and let it drain. Go for dinner and come back finish the job before heading to shower.

It is not that complicated.

Edited:
I forgot to mention. If you do it yourself, you know you will do it right. But if the dealer does it for you, you have no control who will be the one. It is most like the least experienced new guy - or a moron. Oil change is a simple job but has the most consequence if it is not performed properly.

I agree with rockDawg, I never have time to go to the dealer. It take longer to get the service guys attention than to do the changes.

Did my first oil change on my Deluxe few months ago.Nothing difficult about it.
Here are some links explaining it.

Ok...bottom line is this. Yes, you can change your own oil. For whatever reason you would prefer to pay a dealer to do it and that's fine. Bear in mind however that the week before Sturgis, the liklihood of it getting done quickly and have the bike ready to go for when you need it probably isn't very likely. I've been there before, time is precious and sometimes it's more convenient to have the dealer service your bike so you can get other things done. However you do pay a lot for that convenience, so just be sure that's what you want to do.

Gotta say, by the time you drop and pick it up you can do the change at home in less than 1 hour.

30 min For just a oil change ! Save the bucks for a cold adult beverage at the rally.
