Started riding in 1968 and have not stopped. It has all been great. When I watch movies like "ON any Sunday" I am reminded of just how much fun we had in the 60 and 70's on those simple bikes they were state of the art back then .No one would have thought fuel injected or water cooled bikes. Fuel injection was high tech for race cars. BUT the bikes just keep getting better. I still have most of the bikes that I had as a kid. I am restoring a 77 Yamaha TT 500 because I couldn't have one back then. But I sure wouldn't trade my fuel injected, dependable. non-leaking Harley for any of the old ones. I think every generation lives in the best era if you are riding and enjoying it. On another note watching On any Sunday Malcom Smith does some simple riding on a trials bike that they thought was amazing. Watch one of riders now on You-tube riding a trials bike and there is just no comparison how far riders have come.

21 going on 22, came home after 22 months of fighting Charlie and the Little People. Thought I was invincible. Sold my K model before I went into the service and at the end of 70 I was riding a 65 pan that I still own and ride.
Got to say the end of the 60s and through the early 70s were some of the best times of my life. Nothing could stop us...

Obviously, its not an awful day and age to be a rider but there are so frigg'n many of us around now. That has its good traits but, bad also. I wish I was around back in the sixties and seventies When men were still men and bikes were still bikes. What do you guys think? what time period would you like to relive as a biker? why?

Late 60's and early 70's.... party on! The only guy with clean jeans on was a new rider...hehe!! Cops were a pain around here and they sure liked to pick on chopped bikes so your paperwork better be good to go... state troopers were mostly up on that.. recon titles and all! Norton 750 (snortin norton) was a runnin sumb!tch back then! Said before it wasn't any fashion show like it seems to be now! Radio on a bike... what the hell was that for!!!!???? Laughed the first time I witnessed an electric start on a sickle!! The one phrase that sticks out in my mind "you meet the nicest people on a Honda" it was a commercial they played over and over!

Mid 60's to the early 80's were good.
I like the mid 60's to mid 70's best.
I have always lived in the county and on a mountain so life was good.
I did have some rehabilitation after returning home from the service that took a while but I was till riding and not dodging bullets anymore.
Miss my old 1,000 cc sportster with pb cams and my Triumph tt and 25 cent gas
We do have better bikes and roads now though
