Default Grip Removal

Is there a way to remove my left grip without cutting it off? They are not stock grips. New bars on the way and I would like to used my existing grips

I've always just opened the switch housing and then grabbed and twisted as hard as I could. I think I've always been able to break them free that way

I've heard of WD-40 doing the trick, get a little gap between the grip and bar, then insert the red spray tube. Then wash out the WD-40 from inside the grip prior to reinstall.

What he said. You can use a small regular screw driver to open a space under the grip. Then spray the WD-40 in several places around the handle bar. Pull and twist off. To install on the new handlebar, you can use super glue or grip glue. Work quickly

I guess I must be among the failed few I just cut the F'er off and moved on!!

If you have access to compressed air and can get the air nozzle in between the grip and the bar a few good shots will break the seal with the bar and help get it off.

Needle and inject some oil at diff points, works on golf grips.
