Sounds like a super trip with the dad and brother, but jeez you already live pretty close to heaven. Banff and west is just about as good as it gets.

 

Thanks All, should be awesome. No reservations, bringing camping gear and prepared to stay out of town if need be. Yeah Sawatzky is an odd one. Born and raised on the prairies south of Winnipeg. Great grandparents came from Russia. Moved to Calgary in '01, best thing I ever did. Some of the best riding in the world right in my backyard.

 

You will have a great time! We are heading out on July 29th. Staying in Hill City till August 9th, then headed west to Oregon, Redwoods, Yosemite, Palmdale, Lake Tahoe, and maybe back home via the Lonliest Road in America, Hwy 50 across Nevada. Be gone almost a month, back to work the 29th of August. Hope the old girl holds up. The bike too!!

 

I try to go every year since I only live 350 miles away from Sturgis, but this year money is a little tight..things coming up, but I'm still going, but its going to be a trip that I ride out there, hang out and have some fun that night, then ride back the next day. Dont sound like much but its better than nothing!!!!!

 

This is the first time in 10 yrs. that we won't be going to Sturgis. We love it out there.

 

I'm leaving on the 25th of July and coming back on Aug 10th!!!!

2nd time there and cant wait to return

 

Sounds like a great trip planned out. We are leaving on the 31st and heading back around the 6th-7th. No work till Aug 10 but thought we would put some scenic miles in on the way back.

 

Have a great time and take lots of pics. We're already planning for next year...."Do it again in 2010". With my job, I have to schedule vacation a year in advance. That's about the extent of our planning. Ride safe!
