I have about 3K on mine. Had to add a Qtr about 1 month after dealer did a change so thinking the dealer shorted me. Since the add I have not used any!

On top of mechanical condition of your bike,your riding habits can affect your oil consumption.I smack mine in the a$$ from time to time so I burn more than I would if I were riding like a geezer.[sm=gears.gif]

I've about 2100 and have not had to add any oil, I check it everytime I stop for gas(it's hot them). One oil change so far at 1000 miles. Will change to Redline 20w60 at the 3000 mile mark.

I wouldn't even check it.The first oil change is on them. Let them do it. It is new.

Should not use any oil between oil changes. I recommend checking regardless. Mine had the bad valve stem seals and used a qt every 1500 miles. Had them replaced under waranty, now it uses none. HD will tell you using some is OK, using none is OK IMO.
