Bad Accident Yesterday, Bike Hits Bike
This happened in my area yesterday afternoon, a perfect day for riding.
The Casey Hwy is just outside Scranton near rt 81,360 and rt 6.
The guy on the Harley was helicoptered to the hospital and wife was driven there. The guy who went over the lanes was DOA. at the scene.
This sad to see, say a prayer for those involved.

CARBONDALE TWP. - A man was killed and two other people were seriously injured in a head-on collision of two motorcycles Sunday on the Casey Highway.
State police identified the dead cyclist as Anthony Massey, 27, of Peckville. Injured were Robert Stevens Jr., 49, of Tunkhannock, and an unnamed female passenger on his cycle. Mr. Stevens was flown to Community Medical Center, Scranton, where he was in serious condition Sunday night, troopers said. His passenger was taken to CMC by ambulance, and further information on her was unavailable.
The crash happened at about 5 p.m. just west of the Carbondale exit.
According to police, Mr. Massey was traveling east at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his motorcycle on a curve. The 2007 Suzuki crossed the concrete berm dividing the highway, shearing off a metal signpost in the median, and careened into a group of cyclists traveling west, striking a 2003 Harley Davidson driven by Mr. Stevens.

I seen this one on the news last night. I know there was a run up there and I was worried that it was one of my buddies. Either way this kind of news always sucks!!!!

You from the area?
Saturday morning I was going up Davis St. and a "sport biker" was coming down pretty fast in the opposite lane with both hands behind his helmet.
Bad enough we gotta watch out for irresponsible cagers but some of these guys are nuts on bikes too.

Being in an accident myself recently, you can never be to careful! And lots of circumstances are totally out of your control.
Prayers for the ones hurt and the family of the guy that lost his life.
Ride safe and look out for each other.

Stuff like this is goin to happen more and more! Hopefully we will be safe out there but you can't do much about the idiots! Wrong place at the wrong time can be something out of our control! Condolences to friends and families involved and speedy recovery!

I feel bad for everyone involved and their families. I hope someone out there reads this and realizes that its not just your own life in your own hands. They are called public highways for a reason. My thought and prayers are with everyone!!!

I feel great sorrow for the innocent victims in this story. For the speeding biker, not so much!
