That is very sad. I won't ride certain roads here on summer weekends because of sports bikes, its not fair to stereotype all sports riders but some of these guys simply should not be on the road period. Recently we had a sports bike hit a car head on over taking on a bend injuring the elderly occupants and killing the rider. One county's police force has virtually stated they want to make life so hard for them they stop coming to their area. Also one of the most popular roads in the country is having average speed cameras installed to make it a controlled 50mph zone, all because of sports bikes. Over here the biking press is waking up to the fact speeding and reckless riding is turning public opinion and making it easier for the government to pass what in effect are anti-biking laws. Shame as if people just used their heads there are still places they can use the power and not be a danger to others. Hope those riders make a full recovery and it does not put them off riding.
