Talking went to breakfast

told the wife me and the neighborere going to breakfast at 8;30 this morning about a half hour away,,,,,,,,,,,,, Well at 4;15 pmwe get back about 250 miles later, I walk in the house and she says ,,, must of been some breakfast and I said it sure was... Ever have this happen to you?

All the time. I gave up 'planning' *anything years ago. I never have a clue what I might do once I step outside.

This thread reminds me of what Peter Fonda says to the Wild Hawgs in the same movie at the end..."Get rid of the watches." A friend asked me what that was supposed to mean, and I told him, it's the journey, not the destination. A watch will make one keep to some kind of 'schedule' instead of simply riding and being free. At least that's what it meant *to me*.

A guy I know calls this a "Gilligan ", you know, A three hour tour.....

Last Saturday went for a short ride. Got home 275 miles later. Only problem was that I forgot a map and had to call my 15 year old son and ask him to run directions in Mapquest. Not the first time I have been lost, and probably not the last.

It does mean that but it is also a reference to the very beginning of "Easy Rider" when he ditches his watch and chucks it before heading out on the road.
