I've done a search but can't find the paint code information that I need. Does anyone have the PPG or other paint code for Harley Vivid Black? This is for a 2004 Road King. All I've been able to find on "other" forums is code S27220, but I can't confirm this anywhere else. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been given paint code 9850 for PPG's version of Vivid Black. Can anyone confirm this?

 

Harley keeps their paint codes somewhat secret and most paint stores do not list them. Unless it has metalic or maybe some candy in it. Vivid Black is just black. All the Vivid blacks that I have seen were just straight black. Now some PPG paint stores(Auto) do have Harley paint codes. I had my local PPG Dealer mix up some Luxury Rich Red for repairs on my scoot. But It was off a little, so I had to add some candy to match perfectly. I Think that you could use any base black and clear.

hello guys I am new to this site. I have an xr1000 for which I need the paint code for. It is the 1983 grey Color. If anyone can help me out with this paint code it will be appreciated. I am located all the way down there in Australia. Happy motorcycling and stay upright. Just remember that these machines are indeed the fountain of youth. They keep you young, at heart atleast.
