Question Throttle by Wire

Does anyone dislike the lack of crispness in the throttle response on the TBW scoots, or is mine just s-l-o-w... I find it hesitates ever so slightly to return to idle. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact I won't be changing out a throttle cable anytime soon, but.....chit man

Can't say I hate it but it is definitely different then my 02 fatboy. The thing I don't like about it is the amount of effort it takes to keep the throttle open. That and when I let off the throttle how it snaps back to closed so fast. The throttle on my fatboy is easy to hold onto and releases nice and easy. Unless there is some sort of adjustment it may have to be something I have to get used to.

The part I dislike about TBW is the consistency between the different bikes. Every TBW bike I have rode on feels exactly the same, not like those cabled throttles where every bike had a different feel to it.
Seriously, no problems and I like it!

Not sure if it's the TBW system but I find the throttle response on my RG to be a little sensitive, almost like an off/on switch at slow speed. Makes it a little twitchy doing parking lot maneuvers as it's difficult to modulate and can be kinda jerky if you're not real careful.

Don't have it but rented a bike a couple of months ago that had it and did not like it. Even if I did like the way it operated I'd be worried about it crapping out in the middle of nowhere. At least with a cable you can use a pair of vice-grips and get to someplace to buy another cable.

You could end up stuck for days depending on what went wrong with some of this new computerized stuff.

You can have it.
