I'm sold. Im in negotiations now with my local dealer on an all black nightster. i'm excited...

i'm more than certain that i probably wouldnt ever take the bike into the triple digits but just knowing that its got enough power to get there if i had to is good enough.

thaks again for all the POSITIVE input.

amen!! Im really thinking about calling up Laredo or even Cowboy in Austin to see what they can do. RGV is kinda up there in pricing...but under the new ownership they say they can give be a "better" deal. we shall see.

any suggestions on who else to call?

Road Runner is no help, owned by the same crew. Last time I was at Corpus HD they had a lot of bikes on the floor. It would be worth a call.

My first HD was a 1200 Custom. It ain't no foreign Sportbike, but it is pretty quick for a Harley. That Sportster would leave my Heritage in the dust easily. I used to get it up to 120mph on the open road once in awhile.

Good luck on your purchase.

I had a 98 sportster sport. It was way fast. Open up the intake and the exhaust and you'll kick butt. Good Luck
