Glencoe/Sturgis
FYI, for those going to Glencoe. They just posted some info on the bands.

They won't be having any major headliners this year. I was told they spent major dollars on building improvments.
I wonder if there will be less people without the big acts?
Website could use a little work though.

Who cares about bands at Glencoe. As long is the "alley" is up and running and Jackyl plays at the Full Throttle on Thurs. night.

New owners from what I understand.
No headliners but they will have several different bands playing in on-site bars as opposed to the stage - and then there is the Alley... I actually had more fun watching that show. When they had the so called headliners the Alley was not as good.

I agree! In 1990 we stayed at the Buffalo Chip for that much and saw all the big acts.
No other prices have gone up in the last 20 years, so why should Glencoes? (Just kidding). I've never been inside Lamphere, is it any good or pretty tame?
There are lots of other campgrounds in the Rally vicinity with more shade and lower prices. Glencoe is able to charge more because of the other attractions they have.

I don't think Glencoe is expensive - do the math. $165 for 14 days is $12.00 per day. Not everyone can stay that long so the daily rate will be a little more. I got the early bird price of $140 a couple of months ago & I will stay for about 8 to 10 days.
