Wife and I went away last weekend on the bike for her birthday. They were calling for rain. My co-workers (specially the women) thought we were nuts.
Sure enough rained all the way home. I loved it.
Turned my head and told the wife "turns a ride into an adventure doesn't it!"
We were both smiling from ear to ear.
I think we both kinda forgot the trips we made in the rain 30 years ago.

I don't currently own a cage to ride when it is cold and/or wet, I just fire up the bike and hit the road. I figure that you can only get so wet after that it all runs off anyway. I joke sometimes with my coworkers about me riding home in the rain, I tell them heck I gotta take a shower at some point today, might as well be on my way home from work, killing two birds with one stone.

I noticed that you are from Dayton. Is the Pine Club still open? I am an X NCR'r- SugarCamp days...Moraine Farms.....Wright Patterson.......Late night runs to White Castle. OH almost forgot. The Oregon District...Wine --Women -Women - Wine
Well, you heard about NCR didn't you? They are moving to Georgia! It was a sad day to see an icon like them call it quits in Dayton. Oh and they just reopened Moraine Farms about a month ago, place is steady packed with people. Of coarse Wright Patt is still there, they had a scare for a while about being reduced to the size of nothing, but they got a whole bunch of government money and are building a LOT more onto an already huge military installation. As far as White Castle is concerned, I think they closed the one down in Kettering, but the one in Huber Heights is still there. Lastly, but most certainly not least, The Oregon District... That place is still amazing. I love the old brick roads, the atmosphere, the freaks that run around, and the women. lol. Seriously one of the coolest places ever.

I am sure it won't be the last time for you.

Just wait until you are riding and it starts sleeting....now that **** hurts!

After riding in the rain, can you just leave the bike in the garage and let it sit with no problems? Or do you really need to wipe it down first before leaving it?

I know you're not supposed to wash it when it's hot.

As a pasenger I never minded the rain, because I had a lot of faith in the riding skills of the guy I used to ride with. On my own bike I'm still afraid of it, but it will happen and then I'll probably never have a concern about it again.

Last year coming home from Laconia (as a passenger) we had HEAVY thunderstorms/downpuurs the entire way. Hurt like hell, but made the ride an adventure. After that we made several trips in the rain and never minded it once.

I have to suck it up and go out in it on purpose soon and get that under my belt.

How did the roads feel Squishy? A lot different than when they are dry?

Did you run into any pink scooters while out riding in the rain?
