Wife and I went away last weekend on the bike for her birthday. They were calling for rain. My co-workers (specially the women) thought we were nuts.
Sure enough rained all the way home. I loved it.
Turned my head and told the wife "turns a ride into an adventure doesn't it!"
We were both smiling from ear to ear.
I think we both kinda forgot the trips we made in the rain 30 years ago.

I don't currently own a cage to ride when it is cold and/or wet, I just fire up the bike and hit the road. I figure that you can only get so wet after that it all runs off anyway. I joke sometimes with my coworkers about me riding home in the rain, I tell them heck I gotta take a shower at some point today, might as well be on my way home from work, killing two birds with one stone.

After riding in the rain, can you just leave the bike in the garage and let it sit with no problems? Or do you really need to wipe it down first before leaving it?
I know you're not supposed to wash it when it's hot.

As a pasenger I never minded the rain, because I had a lot of faith in the riding skills of the guy I used to ride with. On my own bike I'm still afraid of it, but it will happen and then I'll probably never have a concern about it again.
Last year coming home from Laconia (as a passenger) we had HEAVY thunderstorms/downpuurs the entire way. Hurt like hell, but made the ride an adventure. After that we made several trips in the rain and never minded it once.
I have to suck it up and go out in it on purpose soon and get that under my belt.
How did the roads feel Squishy? A lot different than when they are dry?
