I'm on my 5th rear Dunlop and just finished a 4,200 mile ride through AZ, NM, TX, AR, MO. IA, NE, CO, UT, NV. A lot of HOT going on and not a problem at all.
Me thinks there may be an age thing with those "tire problems" that will turn out to be not a problem at all.

A lot of riders don't pay attention to the load rating on their bikes and the load rating of their tires either. Sounds like to me its mostly a case of overload and perhaps underinflation. Both are a recipe for disaster.

I'm leaning toward overload/underinflated. I hate checking the tire pressure on my bagger because it's a hassle to get to. What about this statement:
"Harley-Davidson knew it was "false and misleading" to represent that its 2007 FLHTCU and its tires were safe for carrying up to two riders weighing more than 250 pounds each, plus their cargo and motorcycle accessories."
I have an '06 FLHTC and the GVWR minus dry bike weight is 483. Wet weight and cargo that number shrinks. Is the '07 similar?

Unsubstantiated P.R. from a personal injury attorney made to look like a legitimate news story. Has about as much credibility as a Craigslist ad.
