hopeing someone here has had the opportunity to compare these 2 polo helmets in person and give me some feedback on how they compare in size to one another.

local hd dealer has the HCI so i got to try one on and i was impressed with the low profile look of it.
only prob was they didnt have a size large and i have yet to locate a internet site that has one in stock.
one of the dealers i spoke with said he had the daytona carbon fiber polos but i have never saw one of them in person so im not sure if it has the same low profile (non mushroom head) look

 

on a side note, dont have any way to measure a HCI carbon fiber polo's shell but the dimensions on the daytona one seem bigger.
i know the daytona one weighs a tad more than the hci.

 

i have the HCI and i love it if that helps ya at all. a local shop stocks HCI and it was the smallest ive found

 

i liked the look and the feel of the XL HCI i got to try on at the local hd dealer. just have yet to find anyone that has a size large in stock. everyone keeps saying on back order.

 

I've never seen the Daytona, but I just picked up my HCI and I really like it. I had to wait 6 weeks for delivery as they were on back order.

 

wow, hope it doesnt take a long time for my local dealer to get one in. was hopeing to have one by next week. she said she would put my name on one and give me a call when it comes in.

with all these places on back order of that helmet, you would think they announced them as collectors item or something.

was kinda hopeing to hear someone chime in who had the daytona carbon polo but looks like not many ppl own it.

 

The HCI is great, but I've not tried a Daytona.

 

I don't recall trying on a Daytona, but I've tried on a lot of half helmets and found HCI to be the lowest profile DOT-approved lid. Mine ain't carbon fiber, because I didn't feel like paying twice as much for one, but it's the standard gloss black (they come in matte black too) and they are comfortable. They look better than other helmets, and won't pull your head back in the wind, either.

finally found a size large online today and placed my order for it.
didnt have any trouble finding a large in the matte or gloss black but i was really impressed of how light weight the carbon fiber one was compared to the regular black one.

 

I like the fact that the Helmet fits in my Hard bag.
