XR1200 redesign idea, would you buy this?

Try one out and tell me how much cruising it wants to do, things just love having the throttle cracked and rolling through the gears!

The Vrod engine weighs close to 200 pounds, so you are going to face great difficulty getting the bike you theorized close to your desired weight. Just for an example, a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 engine weighs approx. 75 pounds less and probably offers more outright performance, even though it might be down on torque compared to the Vrod engine.
I wouldn't mind something like this though.

But I wouldn't mind something like that either. In fact, I love the Triumph retro cafe racers. Harley had their XLCR back in the day, and it was a neat bike to say the least. The really cool part about it is that the current XR1200 could easily be modified by Harley to look like the old XLCR, and then it also goes along with the dark custom thing they are doing now. A blacked-out Harley cafe racer would be very much welcome in my garage!

If I were to get a sportbike it would be a Buell 1125R. But if Harley were to do something like that to the XR1200 and it would be a match to an equal bike I would consider it as a 2nd bike.
Like stated to truely compete they need it to be cheaper.

EXACTLY!!! The only way it would or could perform AND look like traditional Harley racers would be to blend the 1125R's engine into a TUBEFRAME appearing flat track frame (square tube as well , just NO formed aluminum crap).
