I personally think that being a bit nervous is ok....helps me stay aware. Its not a "I feel like I'm going to fly off this thing" nervous....just that there's a lot going on around me so stay sharp.

BTW, I've been riding and racing dirt for 35 years, I p/u my first street ride next week............I've takin the MSF course, have about 3-5 hours of street riding in that 35 yrs................. I'M NERVOUS AS HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definately get a windshield! I had that same feeling when I started riding and I got a windshield and what a big difference! Keeps all the bugs and crap off your face also!

here is an update ..360 miles later i am getting much better .. starting to feel 1 with the bike. the wind does not really bother me anymore did 85 miles today what a great feeling all the other bikers enjoying the weather and very freindly with the "wave" as u pass eachother .. thanks for all the input and suport
