and bonus if you are military or retired military the AAFES uses these guys and you get a large discount. I am going to try a couple of their neck wraps and will let you know how they work.

A couple of buddies bought cool vests last summer, but neither was impressed with results.

Although I am guilty of just throwing on sunblock and riding, here's something to think about regarding long sleeves, mesh jackets etc.
Riding in 100+ degree temps. after dark is actually very comfortable, yet it can be like a blast furnace when the sun is up.
Similar to the temperature change when riding on cool days and going from sun into shade where it cools off noticeably.
The radiant heat from the sun hitting exposed skin causes the body to heat up faster, it makes sense to cover the skin with light clothing.

I've been considering a mesh jacket lately just to keep me from getting another sunburn. If it's likely to keep me cooler too, then I'm all about it. Plus, I'm starting to tattoo my arms and I'm worried about fading.

Yes, I wear a cool vest sometimes under my bunker gear . I know it would work on the bike but I haven't resorted to that yet. I ride till about 2:00 pm and then I wait till 5:30 pm to start back up. Learned that riding in West Texas in 112 degree heat.

If ya ask me we are turning into a bunch of pussies,me included. People been riding Harleys since 1903. Modern technology and air conditioning is to blame. We are spoiled. Biker up, cover up and ride. Or stay in the A/C. I know. I am a *******. And I don't care.

staying cool in 100 + degree temps
when we are riding two up, wife has a portable mister we put ice water in it and she mists us both, works really well, drink lots of water, and don't forget to eat, especially something like salted peanuts.

If you could refine that portable mister for motorcycles and get it on the market you would be a multimillionare.
