Has anyone out there installed a nightster rear fender on a 00-06 softail with a 150 tire on it. I know there would be some fabrication to it but would a person still be able to acheive almost the same old school look but maybe still use alot the the harley detachable accessories by keep the original struts. If some one knows someone that has done it, PLEASE post some pics.

 

Why not just use a Street Bob fender. It would probably fit better. Don't know for sure, just makes more sense.

 

the street bob fender I think is a 8" fender and may have changed in 09'. I know the tire size was a 160 in 07 and is now a 170 for the 09. regardless the 09 streetbob fender won't fit between the rails on a softail with a 150 tire which has a fender of 7.5" in width, and I have not had a chance to see what size the fender is width wise on an 07' or 08' street bob but it still covers to much tire unlike the nightster fender who's tire is a 150 and is technically chopped to expose the tire. I wish the 09' street bob had a 7.5" fender on it but it is wider.
