I just had the most God awfull thing happen on the highway , I was cruisin along at about 70 , minding my own business , enjoying the day , the sound of the pipes , when HELLO !!! This little ***** flies up my sleeve of my leather jacket and settles on my right rear shoulder blade and starts stinging the living **** out of me ! How do you retain your cool with is happening? I damn near crashed my scoot . I must have looked pretty damn hilarious standing there on the side of I-35 stripping off my jacket , vest and t-shirt , trying to get to the vicious little bastard that was drilling numerous holes in my back!! Anyway , all that survived was the rearend of the little mother and his stinger that was firmly embedded in my back . Hope all of you have better luck than this , be safe...

I think it's happed to most of us at one time or another, bees/ wasps/ birds.........

 

Where were ya on I-35?

 

There was just a post on this called bee stings. I was reading all the posts about guys riding through swarms of bees or wasps and was thinking that is one thing that hasn’t happened to me in 40 years of riding. Guess what! It happened! Tues afternoon I was riding home and saw a black spot to my right, in a blink of an eye, I was in a swarm of wasps, they were bouncing off my windshield, jacket, helmet and gloves. Thank God I was wearing leather coat gloves and a full face helmet. I didn’t get stung but when I got off the bike there were three dead wasps between my legs. George

I have ridden through a swarm of somehting and it lasted about 200 feet. It was BAD. Never hadit since on the bike but have done it in the cage a few times

i know what you are saying . i was going to a swap meet one time and it was the first road tripof the year. and this little dude nailed me right on the fore head . by the time i got to the swap meet . i had a hell of head ack. he got me good .
