After 35 years in the Saddlle, North Carolina had to be my favortite place to ride. Wish to comment on the fear factor. The Dragon os a very pleasant ride, if you do the speed limit there will be no problem. It ican be a bit unnerving, making the left banked turns (without guard rail), and seeing only tops of tree's over the edge.

Have seen the Squids in action(sport bike riders) with there bruises and road rash, from the Dragon, and have no sympathy for a fool.

The Dragon is great, but IMHO a bit over rated. The whole area is filled with roads just as intense and more senic.

Do something dumbass like that in the Rockies and you'll have time to smoke your final cigarette before you hit bottom.

It's a nice roads but way over rated...do it just about everytime i go but there are much better roads available with 55 MPH limits...Still fun to go to the store to see the posers.

I used to do some Wild and Crazy things, but when I busted a Vertebrae L4 and wasn't sure If I would ever walk again.
After I healed up and got about 80% back, all is pretty good except lifting and bending..
I feel blessed to have what I have..

IMO doing stupid stuff like some do in the Gap is just asking for it. The vertebrae that I shattered wont take any more damage to leave me Paralyzed for life.

Just watching actually give me chills down my spine because I been there, and Believe me its not fun laying in bed, all braced up for 4 months.

I have heard of the dragon but didn't much of anything about it. That video of the Wings was pretty sweet thanks for posting the video. IT looks like a fun road to travel, although they do appear to be traveling well over the posted 30 mph mark

What happened to the guy that drove off of the shoulder of the road was unfortunate but clearly self induced. I thought the statement made in the vehicle with the video camera, "they're going to beat our asses" was pretty funny.
