Make sure you don't have internally wired bars. If you do, I'd recommend against putting anything in there.

I've had Nostalgic grips with the holes in the ends on two bikes now with no problems at all; in fact the holes are a big part of the nostalgia thing. The large rubber grips feel good and remind of my old Schwinn when I was a kid.

But, if your really worried about moisture getting in then go with these Disney Princess handlebar streamers; they're very pretty.

You guys are a lot of help. Thanks for all the insight. (wink, wink)

Maybe I'll just fill the bars with marbles, then cap the ends with those Disney streamers. Yippeee!!!!

Just to let you know, the original reason for weighting the bar ends was to reduce front end wobble of a particular bikes harmonics. Like adding a damper to the front end.

Lead shot (small) with some spray insulation foam works wonders to quell vibration. I love the nostalgic grips and I need a new set. If any of you guys that hated them still have em and want to sell shoot me a PM.

We tried plain old silicon caulk back in my dirt biking days. It don't help.
