This will be our first adventure to Sturgis and are looking for some ideas on great places to eat. Any suggestions from those experienced Sturgis folks regarding Dives, Diners, Drive-In's would be greatly appreciated. Our base is going to be in Spearfish.

The regular restaurants in Sturgis are not that good and few and far between. The vendor food on main is petty good. Check out the middle eastern guys just down the the road from the Police Station.

 

If you're west of Sturgis, Shoot The Bull Steakhouse in Spearfish. If you're on the Rapid City side, Elk Creek Steakhouse. Both places are good if you want to clean up some night and have a nice meal off a plate. Google 'em for maps and info.

 

For breaky, check out the Marines breakfast at the school on the east side of town. $7 good feed, lineups move quickly with typical Marines efficency.

Yeah did that casino breakfast when we stayed in Deadwood one year. Not to bad. Elsewhere the food is, well......just food. Sort of highway food, lots of burger joints etc. Rapid City has all the chain restaurants but I don't recall any great restaurants.

 

We make it a point to have a dinner at the Deadwood Social Club when in Sturgis, great food and atmosphere. Very old and historic buiding with tons of cool photos. A++

 

I'd expect nothing less from my Marines.
