A couple of good 12 month breakfast joints on Main St. Watch for the ones with a crowd waiting for them to open. In Spearfish there is a good casual place (can't remember the name). Steaks, ribs, chicken, etc. Up the hill behind the fancy steakhouse.

The Alpine Inn in downtown Hill City has the best meal I have had in the hills. If you go for dinner they only have two choices though, the large filet or the smaller one...with texas toast, baked potato, lettuce wedge and homemade desert. It's a must do for me when I visit the area. Damn I'm hungry now.

Now we are talking. This seems like a place to add to our list. Thanks for the suggestion.

Dido....a place that only serves a couple of items has to be good, otherwise they'd be out of business. Thanks for the lead.

Fire House Brewerey, downtown Rapid City, Jimmy Johns Subs, Rapid City, Guadalajara mexican food, last exit off I-90 going west out of Spearfish, next to the KOA, 2nd the Alpine Inn, Hill City, get there early, Fjord's Ice cream, Rapid city, a few of the casino's have special buffets on Friday and Saturday evenings, with crab legs and prime rib. Have been getting pricey, about $18-20 per person. Avoid the Restaurant across the street from the Harley store in Keystone. High prices, small cuts of meat for a buffet.
