I took this pick at a recent grand opening. I don't care for the chrome, but I'm crazy about the concept.

The kits for this conversion are getting more common, I think Drag has one in thier catalog.
The ones I have seen give you the mounts for thr FLTR fairing and hard bags.
Acouple come into my shop on a regular basis and thier owners are very happy with the results, BTW they are both long distance riders.

Harley will have a touring bike model that is built on the V-Rod platform soon...I guarantee it. I've heard as soon as '10 but I also heard it was going to be in '09, so hard to say when we'll finally see it.

This is one of the best looking ones IMO.

I thought this was an interesting spin off a street glide/ v-rod.

I have not or missed any floor board kits for this package. That would put the top on it for me...... I will check out the web site your guys gave me. Thanks again for the catter, it seems like it is not considered a chick bagger at all. I think H.D. should put the motor in the glides and be done with it.....

Adding a fairing and bags to a v-rod is not necessarily the best of both worlds. You still have a v-rod frame. The FL's have air suspension and a touring frame designed for two up comfort. This bike would have to be designed from the ground up. You can put bags on a sport bike, too. YOu'd still have to deal with its shortcomings.

As far as the revolution engine, I think they would need to tune it so it has more torque in the lower rev range. Currently, the '96 has as much torque as the v-rod. Hp needs to be useable for the touring rider. The valve adjustments are a dealbreaker to me. Hydraulic lifters would ne nice.

Lastly, they should not make it for all the glides. Only an option. Many like the air cooled v-twins, not water cooled.
