harley-davidson motor co. ownership
Hi Guys: I am from Ontario Canada. we have a police officer up here that tells us that harley is owned 49% buy Honda motor co. !!! Says that info was made available to them thru the purchase of their service bikes?? I think he is full of it right up to his brown eyes!! Anyone know how you find out about shares in a company? thanks roid

According to that, Honda don't own squat of HD. If they held 49% then they'd be the largest institutional owner of HD stock...as it stands Capital Research and Management Company holds the largest block of stock and it's no where close to 49%.
If Honda owns any HD stock, then it's less than 1%.

Harley Davidson is a publicly traded company, own by the shareholders. The largest investors are Mutual fund companies. Nothing is public about honda buying Harley, if the two companies are negotiating a deal, that is possible. Let's hope not!

A publicly traded stock like Harley-davidson is required to disclose information about the stock. Check with NYSE, I believe that is where Harley is traded. Look at this link for info:

Sorry everybody but I can't keep this a secret any longer....I own Harley Davidson......yep that's right 100% lock stock & barrel........and I happen to be looking for a personal assistant who looks like........Pamela Anderson or Christie Brinkley or maybe 2 assistants.......yeah that's the ticket 2 assistants........[8D]
