About the closest this lift comes to having a negative aspect is the cheap Chinese bottle jack, and this works. I don't think anyone in the U.S. even makes a bottle jack anymore: they are now all cheap Chinese imports. The good news is that they will be cheap to replace.
By the way, the bottle jack IS NOT what holds the bike up, it merely lifts the bike. The load is held by two strong braces that engage as the height increases. This is one stout lift.

I think it should have an electric motor and remote control (men have got to have their remote controls) so that when you move your bike around the garage it would be easier and you could sit on your a$$ while doing it.

I love mine and that's the only thing I miss.

No complaints with mine.. Shipping to Canada was a little pricey due to the weight, but well worth it IMO; never need to buy another.

Yes, but is it worth $550 when a sears aluminum jack is $200?

I've been wanting one for a long time, waiting to make sure I had the money. Screw it, I just ordered one. I'm telling my wife it's all your fault.
