Default Touring, Dyna, Softail family

I am not trying to start any type of arguements, I'm not trying to bash anyone or any bike. Which family is the most popular or best selling family? I'm not talking each particular model, but with the Touring, Dyna and Softail, which of these 3 families are the most popular, not so much YOUR personal preference but in actual new bike sales.

I know sportsters are very popular and the v-rod family doesn't go over too well with the die hard Harley fans. I honestly don't know, do these 3 run pretty close?

And while I'm asking, does anyone know which actual model sells the best?

Just guessing I would say it was the softtails then the baggers and last being the dynas, but in my book the dynas are first.

I would think the Softail would be number 1 with the selection and price.

Never Rode any Harley that didn't enjoy... Would have never giving up my Heritage if the wife was still riding her own.. That said after having the Electra 6 months now doubt if ever own anything but a Tourer for my main ride.. Although might be fun to have another for kick around local pleasures...

Touring bikes are highest, go to the harley main site, click on COMPANY and then INVESTOR RELATIONS, they list the numbers. Touring for 2008 was 101,XXX and Cutsom was 140,XXX and customs include Custom motorcycle units, as used in this table, include Dyna®, Softail®, VRSC™ and CVO models.

So safe to say, Touring are the ;argest

Go to the main page and look at the total number of posts/threads for each model of bike. It must be close!

Yea, in my area it looks like the local Dealer sells more of the touring models.
