The Rhineharts that I have on my Ultra are louder than the stock, but not so loud that I can't hear myself think. I checked loud pipes because they're louder than the stocks. I've got a few friend's with loud short pipes that are too loud for me!

Late,

I like my stock pipes. Buddy has got some V & H me thinks they are, louder than all get out. Can't hear my tunes if he's in front!

Mine are stock. I like low pitched rumble, which I get for the most part. Harley is my favorite sounding bike, '69 GTO Judge is my favorite sounding car. Loud? Not really, but very deep, where you can really feel it.

Greetings,

A crack of the throttle with the Vance and Hines pipes I've had on bikes over the years has saved me too many times to even think about running anything else. Loud? Yep, but I'm not stupid when leaving or coming into the neighborhood at early hours.

I agree with most of what's been written. I like louder than stock, but not earth shaking loud. It's the sound I like...not the volume. (though a bit of volume to let'em know you're coming doesn't hurt).

I've got V&H staggered short shots. I've purchased the quiet baffles but haven't installed them yet. I'm sure I will at some point...but for now, I'm enjoying them for what they are.

+18 for medium loud...a nice deep tone w/V&H quiet baffles in the sideshots at idle but plenty loud for me when crankin' the throttle.

I like 'em loud! But if I had a bagger, I think I would keep it more on the quite side.
