Default windshield tinting

Has anyone tried to tint or paint your windshield ,if so could you help me out and would you do the inside or the outside of the windshield.

yes , I put a fade tint on the lower part of my windshield to cover my windshield pouch. I put it on the inside and it's been there for more than a year. I'm sorry I don't have any pics but it looks ok.

I'm interested in tinting my windshield also.... I'd think I'd do the inside..... too many rocks and bugs can't be good for the tint if it's on the outside.

That's what I was thinking about doing. The pouches scuff up the windshield and I'm hoping to cover it up. Glad it worked for you!

Yeah, I did it. I painted the inside of a spare Road Glide windshield that I had cut down. First I used Dupli-Color Adhesion Promoter (which is basically a clear primer) and followed it with a gloss black. You could no longer see through it but it was only 6 1/2 inches high so it did not matter.

I have done the same as Massed several times. When you paint the inside of the sheild it looks nice and glossy from the outside. I you want to tint i would also go for the inside but i dont know how long it would last.

Can't you use the same stuff they use on car windows.I was thinking of tinting mine also.

what kind of paint did you use for this and when you said you faded it out ,did you just put on a light coat
