couldnt say which is better or worse, havent used or ridden with any of them, im simply looking at style, fit and PRICE.
as it stands Helmetsrus looks to be the most affordable, and there Daytona versions look really cool, at that price it doesnt hurt to purchase one and try it and if ya dont like it, second hand sell it here, or pass it on to someone else without fuss or muss.

Yeah, I'm wondering about that too. With riding horses and wearing helmets it's more about cushioning an impact and one helmet is about as good as another for that and all the rest is just style and marketing. Still, less weight and mushroom would be a good thing but I'm not going to go over board on it. Would love to find a DOT Chrome Polo but they only seem to be found as Novelties or in German style.

If you haven't held one in your hands you can't appreciate how lightweight CF is compared to the plastic helmets. People are amazed when they hold it. I'm trying to think of something common to compare its weight to. A couple of paperback books, maybe?

I thought I wanted one of the ACC carbon fiber helmets and was willing to pay the extra dough for it until I tried one on. The DOT version did not look as low profile as the pics they show on the site. I think the pics they show must be the non DOT version. The shop I found them at also carried HCI carbon fiber helmets. They are considerably lower profile than the ACC, and was about $50 cheaper, so thats what I ended up with.
