I bought an HJC 3/4 helmet with air vents ... when the air vents are "open", the helmet is noisey (rattles) ... course when they are closed it gets HOT ... [sm=badbadbad.gif]

Can anyone recommend a good 3/4 with air vents that is quiet? [sm=confused06.gif]

Take it back.......I have the HD jet with clear faceshield and it doesn't rattle and the vents work fine.

 

I bet its the windshield.

Now that I have a shield on, I have to keep the top vents closed on my full face, or get tons of noise.

 

Never have found a 3/4 helmet I liked. Good 1/2 helmet is what I use. You get ear wind noise but hell thats why I ride is wind in the face!

I have the HD Jet 3/4. No problems with rattles or excessive noise.

 

Same here...HD 3/4 and no noise with windscreen and vents open.

 

You get what you pay for. Check out Arai and Shoei. Both number one in quality and not cheap. If you have a $100.00 head, put a $100.00 helmet on it.

 

HJC is a good helmet. Some fit different on peolple and sometimes it has to do with the way the wind hits YOUR helmet on YOUR ride. Your helmet shouldn't be noisy no matter what it costs. my .02 cents.

 

I have the HD Ultra 3/4 only noise is if the face shield is up , down with vent open no problem with noise
