Looks like a lot of folks did stay out of Myrtle Beach city limits during the spring rally... http://www.charlotteobserver.com/bre...ry/764367.html

Maybe that guy who owns that motel will launch a campaign to win a seat on the city council and undo the new laws.

maybe enough business owners will be upset about the loss of business and elect a new city council

but I doubt it

Occupancy rates were down across the Grand Strand, but the numbers appear to show the new city regulations aimed at curtailing the motorcycle rallies were successful in keeping bikers out of the city. The city approved the new rules after residents complained about noise, crime and congestion from the rallies.
That's fcking classic. "Keeping bikers out of the city"... stupid blue hair geriatrics down there. I have extended family that moved down there and all they did was complain about the rallies and how the City of MB should do something. Then these folks do a 'study' to show the obvious: keep spenders out of the city and income will go down. It is so blatantly obvious that it pains me to think somebody was paid to complete 'research' and report on the complete fcking obvious. ********, all of them.

Well, it was getting rather obvious, they were in 'trouble' weeks and weeks ago. They EVEN started running their "Vacation in MB" ads, ALL THE WAY UP HERE!!!!
You say you want us to WHAT there?? Sorry, can't hear you over my pipes. YELL LOUDER, you dipwads!!!

BEST place for MB???? In your REAR VIEW mirror. Let 'em sit in their own chit. IF they're happy w/o us, that's GOOD. Cause they're w/o us,....... and our $$$$$.

Assuming buisness is THAT far off...... any business that needs one week to survive a whole year, is seriously flawed....

Any news or stats for the second bike rally? My brother is here in Michigan, he's from Norwood NC. He said there wasn't any thing on the news about either bike week this year....

well i feel somewhat bad for the business owners that did not want this and had to take the hit anyway, but they should have spoke up before this not now.

another question...why did the guy who wrote the article keep calling it the "harley davidson spring rally"? WTF is up with that?
