High Octane Gas in Spokane?
Hi all. I'm down in Spokane for a couple of weeks. Tried running 92 octane, but got a little pinging so I added some octane boost. I would prefer not to add anything. Anyone know of a place that sells 94+ octane gas around here? Thanks.

There used to be a Circle K at the bottom of the hill between 5mile and 7mile that had 103 octane at the pump. I used to run it during the weekends while bracket racing at SRP. I'm heading that way in a few days and I wonder if it's still avail there.

Went to the Circle K website, they don't show a station in Spokane.

Man you are gonna have some issues when you get down here.
You aren't gonna find high octane gas at just any station. In fact, we now have 10% ethanol and it suck big time.
But on the brighter side, some stations are again starting to offer premium gas with no ethanol but it's still only 92 octane. But those stations too are far and few between and about 40 cents a gallon higher than the gas with the ethanol.

Have your bike setup to run reg gas it will run cooler and you get better gas mileage. I have both of my bike will run anything with no problem. Harley service bike will not run on reg gas. Put a gas management system on your bike it will run without any pinging.

I forgot to ask if you know what LUGGING is all about? Your bike maybe lugging and not pinging.

I appreciate the advice, but she was definitely pinging a bit (I pretty much keep the rpm's at >2500). I bought the bike used and it already had 11-1 compression pistons in her (cold cranking psi is about 190). I have it set up to run on 94 which I can find anywhere back home (British Columbia). I'm just down here for a couple of weeks and didn't think it was worth screwing with the timing and jetting for 2 weeks. Have a Dyna-S ign, so I don't think its not real adjustable anyway. I am looking at getting a DTT or Dyna2Ki in the future when $$ allow it. I'll probably tear it down this winter and calm it down a bit then. Having too much fun riding now.

heck, for a couple weeks, I wouldn't worry too much about it. For that short amout of time, maybe just add a little octand booster. I've never used it so it may be totally worthless. Just a thought for the few weeks you are going to be away from your good gas.
