Yeah, quit whining. My FXDWG is 6 years old and I paid $176 to re-up it this year out here in Kalifornia. Worse yet, they're trying to pass a law out here to make smog tests mandatory for all bikes model year 2000 and newer...but it's not really for smog, it's for the money, AND to make people put stock pipes on.

They guys who I do feel for are the Canadians. I hope that raping your taking includes provincial-provided insurance!

I doubt this forum has enough hard drive space to me to list all the reasons I moved away from CA. I don't care what they do there anymore, just keep it out of Oregon and other states. In 20 years, no one will want to live in CA except the ultra wealthy or the over the border types.

Damn I wish I could move out of this state!
2 of my motorcycle registrations came due last month. Total cost 198 dollars.

Our reg. fees are not bad... but they hit you with ad valorem taxes on each vehicle...

My crossbones first year was 214 bucks... my Sportster was 84 If I remember correctly

I guess the bright side is... they go down over time... I think I paid about 54 for my car last year...

I've said it before and I will say it again: New Jersey is the best looking state in the Union; from the rear view mirror.

Default Calif. Reg Fees

I can't feel your pain, I just now on line paid my renewal on my reg. fees, $282.00. Good ol Gov. Arnold he really put it to us. I didn't like his movies either.

that is def b.s. for sure.

maybe this will make you feel better- i moved from NJ to Brooklyn and traded up my honda for a harley and my insurance went from $300p/yr to what would have been $2500+ p/yr. I had to get less coverage to get down to $1350 p/yr. So, i'd trade the 30 bucks p/yr for registration any day for my insurance difference

I see you're from the same province I am . The sad part, is we still pay the same as everybody else for private insurance on top of those license fees.
