I think when they came up with the Garden State being "Green" slogan...they really meant we are gonna soak you for every "greenback" we can squeeze out of you!!

Hadn't heard that the proposed increase went through. Really sucks since we have two bikes to register. Bad enough bikes have disproportionately high insurance rates, we're paying $1000 a year for two bikes. Now we get hammered on reg fees.

Corzine is true to form. Tax and spend liberal. Hopefully he'll be booted out in Nov.

Just another tidbit on NJ's money making schemes...I don't have EZ-Pass, because I usually avoid the major Hwys, but once in a while I will use the GSP.

The off ramp exits now only have "exact change" and "EZ-Pass" tolls. (Used to have 1 maned toll for cash...Cutbacks I guess)

Well the state and Corzine got one over on me last weekend. I didn't have exact change, no EZ-Pass, and no way to pay the toll. They are suppossed to have envelopes to mail in your payment, none of those either, so I guess I will be receiving a hefty fine in the near future!!

I feel your pain. Last year Hardeman County decided they need to build a new Justice Center. They raised a year registration to $95 a year and for cars it went to $105. And that's without inspection and city sticker (we have neither). I think we are the highest in west TN.

Moved out of there in 1982 because it was the "armpit of the earth". Haven't regretted it for one minute since..................................

Wow, New Jersey has something cheaper than out west? My registration this past year (05 EG Standard) was $150! It was pushing close to $300 the first year I bought it! Arizona registration obviously sucks!

It does suck they are raising the rates though, regardless of where you live.
